The Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra marks its 25th season in 2010-11 with three Severance Hall concerts and a special alumni concert welcoming back former members to perform with current ensemble members. James Feddeck, COYO’s music director and assistant conductor of the Cleveland Orchestra, will lead the concerts, with season highlights to include Orff’s Carmina Burana, in collaboration with the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Chorus; Poulenc’s Suite from Les Biches; Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade; and the world premiere of Matthew Smith’s Chasing the Moon. At the alumni concert, held on May 29, Feddeck will be joined by three former COYO music directors, who will each lead a portion of the concert; the program for that concert will be announced at a later date.
