MARK KENT has been appointed senior director of education and community engagement at the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. He served most recently as director of education and community outreach for the Atlanta-based Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre Foundation. Kent was previously with the Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach, Fla., where he designed and directed the center’s education and outreach programs. He has held memberships or leadership positions with VSA-Arts Palm Beach County; Dreyfoos School of the Arts, also in Palm Beach County; the Palm Beach Foster Parents Association; and the International Association of Theatre for Children and Young People. He holds a bachelor’s degree in theater from Florida State University.
