On November 1, the Eastman School of Music of the University of Rochester launched Polyphonic on Campus http://www.polyphonic.org/oncampus, a new component of polyphonic.org, the musicians’ online forum. Polyphonic on Campus, focusing on the needs of young musicians at the start of their music careers, is written by young musicians and will include video blogs, commentary and advice, webinars, and directories of journals and music sites. The site’s editor is composer Stephen Danyew, a graduate of the Frost and Eastman Schools of Music. Among the contributors to the site will be twelve musicians who will chronicle their journeys via biweekly video blogs; bloggers include music directors, chamber music performers, orchestral musicians, conductors, and music school faculty members who are graduates of schools including Yale University, the Juilliard School, Indiana University, the University of Georgia, and the University of Miami.
