The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and EarShot have announced the BPO New Music Readings, to be held February 8 to 10, 2011 in Buffalo, New York. The readings will provide up to four emerging composers the opportunity to work closely with the BPO, led by Associate Conductor Matthew Kraemer and to be mentored by composers David Felder and Steven Stucky. The deadline for applications and submitted works for the Buffalo Philharmonic New Music Readings is November 29, 2010. Previous EarShot readings have taken place with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, the Memphis Symphony Orchestra, and the Pioneer Valley Symphony Orchestra. EarShot, the National Orchestral Composition Discovery Network, is a partnership among American Composers Orchestra, American Composers Forum, American Music Center, the League of American Orchestras, and Meet The Composer.
