Two appointments have been announced by Georgia’s Symphony Orchestra Augusta: AMY BRANDENBURG, director of education and community engagement; and CAROLANN WEBSTER, director of marketing and public relations. Brandenburg, whose appointment tales effect January 3, 2011, assumes new duties after serving for the past several months as SOA’s director of marketing and education. She received a Master of Arts degree from Augusta State University last May, and holds a bachelor’s degree in vocal performance from Augusta College, where she was a founding member of the Augusta Collegium Musicum. Webster, currently in customer relations at Jim Hudson Lexus of Augusta, also assumes her SOA duties on January 3. For the past year she has served as an active volunteer on the orchestra’s fundraising committee, and is a member of both Young Professionals of Augusta and the Junior League of Augusta. Webster holds a degree in communications from Augusta State University.
