The Sony-affiliated classical-music site Ariama.com announced that it has created strategic partnerships with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, radio stations WQXR and WFMT, and Carnegie Hall. Through the partnerships, the Ariama site will feature recommendations from Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Music Director Robert Spano and his Atlanta School of Composers, to include releases from the ASO’s new self-produced label, ASO Media. Ariama will sponsor radio station WFMT’s pledge drive and the WFMT Network’s Exploring Music program with Bill McGlaughlin; WQXR’s Album of the Week feature and on-air playlists will be also be highlighted at Ariama. For the London Symphony Orchestra, LSOLIVE.com will feature links to purchase the LSO’s recordings through Ariama, and LSO performances will be profiled at Ariama. Ariama will also feature Carnegie Hall presentations and interviews with performers, as well as special deals for Carnegie Hall audiences. Ariama is a subsidiary of Sony Music Entertainment, whose catalog includes CDs, MP3s, and lossless FLAC digital downloads from more than 200 labels, including RCA Red Seal and RCA Victor, Sony Classical, and Sony BMG Masterworks.
