The National Arts Centre in Canada is now accepting applications for its thirteenth Summer Music Institute, to take place at the University of Ottawa’s School of Music from June 6 to 25, 2011. The application deadline is February 7, 2011. The institute, led by Founder and Artistic Director Pinchas Zukerman, offers private instruction, chamber-music coachings, performance opportunities, and career mentoring for 70 young musicians, including violinists, violists, cellists, bassists, flutists, oboists, clarinetists, bassoonists, horn players, and pianists. The minimum age for pre-college programs is 12; the maximum age for senior-level students is 26.
