The Nashville Symphony’s first concert in the newly reopened Schermerhorn Symphony Center, tonight (Thursday, 1/6) at 7 p.m. CST, will be broadcast live via internet and radio here. Guest conductor Nicholas McGegan will lead the orchestra in a program of Mendelssohn, Beethoven, and Mozart. The hall was closed following extensive flooding last May. In addition to airing on 237 radio stations around the country, the program will stream live on the NPR website; there will also be a live post-concert chat where listeners can speak with Nashville Symphony musicians. Nashville public radio station WPLN-90.3 FM will also re-air this concert during the summer as part of its regularly scheduled broadcasts of Nashville Symphony concerts.
