The League recently partnered with BoardSource to create the Board of Directors Self-Assessment Tool for Orchestra Boards.
This online, confidential survey provides important information to boards and demonstrates the board’s overall understanding of board roles and responsibilities, performance against roles and responsibilities of nonprofit boards, areas of strength on the board, and where improvements are needed.
Results from the survey are both tangible and intangible and are intended to inform and support the specific work of the board, the board’s work with the executive director and with the music director and the orchestra.
