California’s Monterey Symphony has named EDMUND FEINGOLD executive director following a six-month nationwide search conducted with the assistance of Management Consultants for the Arts. He will take up duties in Monterey on February 21 after five years as executive director of the Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra, headquartered in the Chicago suburb of Park Forest. Prior to the IPO Feingold spent seventeen years in the Boston area working with such organizations as Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras, Boston Ballet, Huntington Theater Company, and Boston Musica Viva. A native of Nebraska, he holds a bachelor’s degree in music and an MBA in public and nonprofit management from Boston University.
