San Francisco Classical Voice (sfcv.org), an online journalistic resource whose stated mission is to “inspire and motivate people to attend, listen to, learn about, discuss, and actively participate in the Bay Area’s vast and varied classical music scene,” has announced the appointment of JOHN ROBINSON as executive director. He will work part-time during January and begin full-time duties February 1. From 2002 until last fall Robinson was executive director of California’s Santa Barbara Symphony, and prior to that he was executive director of the New York City-based artist management firm Frank Salomon Associates. He has served on the board of the Association of California Symphony Orchestras, and from 2006 to 2010 was a member of the Advisory Committee of the League of American Orchestras.
