DOUGLAS W. ADAMS has been named executive director of the National Repertory Orchestra, a professional training orchestra based in Breckenridge, Colorado. From 2008 to 2010 he was president of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, and for six years prior to that served as president of the Colorado Symphony Orchestra in Denver. Before beginning his orchestra career Adams worked in the television field in news reporting, news management, and station management. For nine years he was president and general manager of NBC-owned KXAS-TV in Dallas-Fort Worth. He has served on numerous boards in Colorado and Texas, including the chairmanship of the Dallas Business Committee for the Arts.
