The Seattle Symphony has announced the appointment of MARY LANGHOLZ as director of communications, effective March 14. She had previously spent eight years at the Seattle Symphony (1998-2006) as director of public relations, and will return to the orchestra after concluding her tenure as executive director of the Washington State Arts Alliance, a post to which she was appointed in 2007. Earlier in her career she worked in the press office of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. and as director of communications at Ruth Eckerd Performing Arts Hall in Clearwater, Florida.
