Several appointments have been announced by the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra. RICHARD DECKER, a staff member of the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra for the past 35 years and currently the SSO’s vice president and general manager, has been named vice president of artistic administration at the RPO, effective April 4. Decker is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music, where he has also taught in the Arts Leadership Program; he received a master’s degree in horn performance from The Catholic University of America. Also announced by the Rochester Philharmonic was the promotion of SARAH GOLDSTEIN POST to director of development, effective February 1. She has served on the RPO’s development staff since 2007 and had been interim director of development since last July. Post is a 2006 alumna of Florida State University, where she received a Master of Arts Administration degree. PAVEL SULLIVAN joined the RPO’s development staff on January 3 as manager of annual giving. Previously the orchestra’s marketing coordinator, he is a graduate of the Eastman School. Succeeding him in the marketing coordinator post is SAMUEL KRALL, also an Eastman graduate with a bachelor’s degree in music performance.
