The Corporation for International Business is now accepting applications from orchestra executive directors and operations managers for five scholarships to help defray the costs of attending the League of American Orchestras’ annual conference in June.

The scholarships—known as 2011 Carnets Play the World Scholarships—will be announced on May 1, and are awarded to professional and youth orchestras that promote American orchestras through their international tours. Orchestras that have not toured but that plan to tour internationally within the next three years are also eligible for the scholarship. The awards are directed to executive directors and directors of operations who are members of the League.

Each award covers virtually the entire cost of registration fees (or travel expenses), averaging $500 per scholarship recipient. This year’s conference is in Minneapolis from June 6 to 9.

For more information or to apply for the scholarship award, contact Moira Wilson of Corporation for International Business at 847-852-3104 or Moira@ATACarnet.com . The Corporation for International Business is an ATA Carnet Service Provider of the U.S. Council for International Business (USCIB).
