The first-ever National Brass Symposium will be held from June 10 to 12, 2011, on the campus of Kennesaw State University in Georgia. Among the participants at the symposium will be principal-chair brass players http://www.brasssymposium.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=29&Itemid=3 from the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Boston Symphony Orchestra, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Cleveland Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, and Philadelphia Orchestra. Highlights of the weekend’s events include a “meet-and-greet” with artists and participants; mock auditions; concerts, mini-recitals, and master classes; and side-by-side performances with principal brass players.
