Wednesday (4/13) on his blog at mysanantonio.com, online platform of the San Antonio Express-News, San Antonio Symphony President and CEO Jack Fishman writes about Los Angeles Philharmonic President and CEO Deborah Borda, who “gave a speech today in London to the International Artists Managers Association that is worth reading. The Los Angeles Philharmonic, which she leads, is on the cutting edge of innovation in the arts.” Fishman provides a full transcript of the speech, which Norman Lebrecht also posted on his ArtsJournal.com blog Slipped Disc. In her speech, Borda discusses the way new media has changed the musical landscape over the past decade and the ways the Los Angeles Philharmonic has harnessed technology to better meet audience expectations and connect with the community.
