Saginaw Bay Symphony’s 2011-12 season to feature Michigan composers

On Monday (4/18), Saginaw, Michigan’s CBS Channel 5 website WNEM.com includes a press release from the Saginaw Bay Symphony stating, “The Saginaw Bay Symphony Orchestra and Music Director Brett Mitchell have announced their 2011-2012 season, ‘Pure Music. Pure Michigan.’ The season will be Mitchell’s second season at the helm of the Saginaw Bay Symphony Orchestra, and will be notable for its increased collaboration with local artists and the inclusion of works by living Michigan composers on every program.” In a video segment, which you can watch on the site, Mike Cameron interviews Mitchell about the season and working with the composers.
