The Bainbridge Symphony Orchestra, which performs on Bainbridge Island in Washington State under the auspices of Bainbridge Performing Arts, has appointed WESLEY SCHULZ music director. Schulz is also assistant conductor of the Britt Classical Festival in Jacksonville, Oregon, and recently served as assistant conductor of the Austin (Tex.) Symphony Orchestra and teaching assistant at the University of Texas, where he directed the University of Texas Orchestra. He is a graduate of Ball State University (Muncie, Ind.) and the University of Texas at Austin.
