Thursday (4/28) on WCNC.com, the website for Charlotte’s NBC news station channel 36, Sonja Gantt writes, “If you are a fan of the music you hear at the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding you can thank a new Charlottean. Christopher Warren-Green has spent the last year as music director of the Charlotte Symphony. He is also a proud Englishman who’s been working since November to pull together music for the royal wedding ceremony. … He remains the conductor of the London Chamber Orchestra. He pulled together the musicians and songs that will fill the chapel at Westminster Abbey. … Thirty years ago he had a chance to meet Prince Charles after his orchestra was invited to play at Buckingham Palace. The Prince enjoyed the concert so much he’s been asking Warren-Green to pull together music for several events over the years, including his wedding to Camilla Parker Bowles and the Queen’s 80th birthday party.” The full video segment is available at the link above.
