The Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra will be featured this week on New Orleans public television station WLAE during a segment of the program “Greater New Orleans” hosted by Tom Bagwill. The show, which airs on May 5 at 9 p.m. (CDT), covers the orchestra’s outdoor concert last week at City Park and the recent Bruno Walter National Conductor Preview hosted by the orchestra in New Orleans in February, and includes an interview with LPO violinist and Board President Karen Sanno. The annual Bruno Walter National Conductor Preview is a program of the League of American Orchestras, which since 1995 has showcased 69 conductors, with more than 50 orchestras engaging conductors for various appointments as a direct result of the Preview.
