An article in Wednesday’s (5/11) Pasadena Star-News (California) states, “Conductor Rachael Worby will lead a new orchestra, MUSE/IQUE, which will offer its first performance at Caltech on July 30, according to a press release issued Wednesday. The inaugural program will feature music by Duke Ellington, Leonard Bernstein and George Gershwin. In a statement released Wednesday Worby called her group the ‘orchestra of the future.’ … Worby said MUSE/IQUE will appeal to the iPod generation, offering a variety of eclectic selections.” League of American Orchestras President and CEO Jesse Rosen commented,
“Orchestras are exploring new ways to connect with a wider cross section of their communities. Rachael Worby’s new venture will be a vital and exciting addition to the orchestra landscape.”
