Wednesday’s (5/18) Tribune (Greeley, Colorado) reports, “The Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra was recently named a winner in the Next Generation Indie Book Awards. The book, ‘The Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra: A Century of Musical Magic, 1911-2011,’ was written, shot and designed by a group of volunteers to honor the philharmonic’s 100th season. The Next Generation Indie Book Awards is the largest not-for-profit book awards program for indie authors and independent publishers worldwide. The Indie Book Awards program was established by the Independent Book Publishing Professionals Group to recognize and honor the best independently published books of the year. The book won in the Regional Non-Fiction category. The book was put together by Ron Edgerton, Emily Kemme, Norman Savig, Roger Sherman, Mike Ruckles, Howard Skinner, John Blake and Peggy Ford Waldo.”
