Conductors from the Minnesota Orchestra and Symphony of Southeast Texas are scheduled to lead concerts this summer with rocker Sting during his Symphonicity European tour. Beginning in June, Sarah Hicks, the Minnesota Orchestra’s principal conductor for pops and special projects, will conduct concerts featuring Sting songs in new arrangements at festivals in France, Germany, Italy, Austria, Hungary, Romania, and other European countries. Chelsea Tipton II, music director of the Beaumont-based Symphony of Southeast Texas, was recently announced as warm-up conductor for the Symphonicity tour, and will also lead three concerts in Spain.
