The Board of Directors of the New Haven (Conn.) Symphony Orchestra has named ELAINE C. CARROLL interim executive director, effective June 1, 2011. She has more than twenty years of management experience, most recently as director of development for the NHSO. Before coming to New Haven, Carroll served as general manager of the Stamford (Conn.) Symphony Orchestra and as executive director of the Westchester Philharmonic in New York’s Westchester County. The NHSO board is currently conducting a search for a permanent successor to Natalie Forbes, who stepped down as executive director in February of this year.
