The Amarillo Symphony in Texas has announced that KIMBO ISHII-ETO will step down as music director at the end of the 2011-12 season in June 2012. He has served in that post since 2008. A music director search committee has been formed, and the orchestra expects to announce a new music director prior to the start of the 2013-14 season.
