JEANINE WYNTON has been appointed assistant concertmaster of the Richmond (Va.) Symphony, effective with the 2011-12 season. Currently a member of Chicago’s Grant Park Orchestra, she has served as assistant concertmaster of the Binghamton (N.Y.) Philharmonic and as a substitute musician in the Minnesota Orchestra. Wynton has performed as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player in concerts throughout Europe, the U.S., Russia, Israel, and New Zealand. A native of Los Angeles, she made her solo debut in Montevideo, Uruguay, while touring South America with a group of nationally selected Suzuki violin students. Wynton has participated in numerous festivals including the Schleswig-Holstein Festival, the American-Russian Young Artists Orchestra, and the New York String Orchestra Seminar. She is a graduate of the Yale School of Music.
