A report Tuesday (6/7) on the local news site mercerspace.com (Lawrenceville, N.J.) states, “At its annual meeting May 23, the Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) Board of Trustees elected five new individuals to join the current 20-person board. The new trustees have backgrounds in the fields of music and other fine arts, communications, finance and academia. In addition, they have significant experience in leadership positions with various Princeton area organizations.” They include John Ellis, special consultant at Taft and Partners in Princeton; composer Julian Grant; Cynthia Hillas, vice chair of the Board of Trustees for The Pennington School; Deborah Prentice, Alexander Stewart 1886 Professor of Psychology and chair of the Psychology Department at Princeton University; and Jay Vawter, managing director at Atlantic Trust. “We are delighted to welcome these five dedicated and capable individuals to join our board,” said PSO Board President Dave Tierno. “Under the leadership of Music Director Rossen Milanov, the PSO is enjoying a time of great success and growth, and we look forward to hearing the ideas of our new trustees as we strive to increase the impact of the PSO in our community.”
