A report in Sunday’s (6/12) Nashua Telegraph (New Hampshire) states, “The Nashua Symphony Orchestra & Chorus needs help improving the sound of its home. The NSO wants to install reflective acoustic panels at the Edmund M. Keefe Auditorium. Pepsi has a program that gives $50,000 grants to arts organizations, but only if their communities support them, according to a press release issued by the NSO. If enough people vote for the ‘Nashua Sound’ project, then the NSO could land one of those grants to install the panels. As configured now, eight velvet wall curtains—installed over window openings that have been bricked over for decades—absorb much of the sound produced during musical performances, according to the NSO. To support the project, go to www.refresheverything.com/nashuasound.”
