Boston’s Longwood Symphony Orchestra has appointed LISA BRYINGTON BARR as its first full-time executive director. She comes to the LSO from the contemporary chamber music ensemble Boston Musica Viva, where she had served as executive director for the past three years. Barr is vice president of the Brookline (Mass.) Arts Center, and recently earned an MBA with a concentration in nonprofit management from Boston University. She is a 2007 graduate of the League of American Orchestras’ Orchestra Management Fellowship Program.
