Dudamel: Let the Children Play—a new documentary film about orchestras, conducting, and music as a path to addressing the educational crisis worldwide—will be screened at selected U.S. movie theaters on June 23 at 7 p.m. In the film, Gustavo Dudamel, music director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and a product of the Venezuelan music-education program El Sistema, tells the stories of music’s impact on young people from around the world. The film will be preceded by a public service announcement showcasing America’s orchestras, sponsored and produced for the League of American Orchestras by NCM Fathom, one of the co-producers of the film. Dudamel: Let the Children Play is presented by the League of American Orchestras, NCM Fathom, TV Planet, and The Movie Machine.
