The LaGrange Symphony Orchestra in Georgia has announced the appointment of DAVE MARLER as executive director, effective July 1. A native of Atlanta, he has served for six years on the LSO Board of Directors, most recently as its president, and brings to the newly created post of executive director more than two decades of experience in marketing, administration, and operations. His most recent post was chief transformation agent for Marlermedia, a LaGrange-based marketing communications firm. Marler holds a bachelor’s degree in management from Clayton State University in Morrow, Ga., and an MBA from Kennesaw State University, also in Georgia.
