The Board of Directors of the South Carolina Philharmonic (Columbia, S.C.) has announced the election of WILLIAM O. DANIELSON to a two-year term as president, effective July 1, 2011. Danielson is a principal at Danville Business Advisors LLC in Columbia, and began his board service with the orchestra in 2006. A graduate of the University of South Carolina-Aiken, he also serves locally on the boards of the Babcock Center and the Glenforest School, and is a member of Columbia’s Lake Murray – Irmo Rotary Club.
