InterSchool Orchestras of New York, an organization comprising six graded training orchestras for New York City students aged seven to nineteen, has appointed WADDY THOMPSON executive director. He brings to the ISO more than 25 years of nonprofit arts experience in New York City, including fundraising, sponsorship, marketing, and communications posts at Symphony Space, Poets & Writers, New York Foundation for the Arts, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and OPERA America. Trained as a French horn player and composer, Thompson holds doctoral and master’s degrees in music composition from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Music degree from Eastman School of Music.
