The orchestra consists of 90 students from around the seaboard. They are rehearsing Prokofiev 5th this week in Kaunas, Lithuania, ahead of a grand tour. Kristjan Järvi is the founder and artistic director. Angela Merkel’s personal support is a massive morale booster for the students and a money-raiser all the way round the region.
