Iowa’s Dubuque Symphony Orchestra has appointed THOMAS TAYLOR DICKEY conductor of the organization’s Dubuque Youth Symphony Orchestra. He served most recently as interim director of orchestral activities at the University of Evansville (Ind.) and as interim conductor of the Evansville Philharmonic Youth Orchestra. Dickey has also been an assistant conductor at numerous college, community, and regional orchestras in Georgia, Louisiana, and Illinois. He holds a bachelor’s degree in bassoon performance from Eastern Illinois University, a master’s in orchestral conducting from Louisiana State University, and a doctorate in orchestral conducting from the University of Georgia.
