In League President Jesse Rosen’s latest vlog, he discusses a conversation he had at the Aspen Music Festival with Mike Lipper, a well-known financial analyst. Lipper mentioned that in his latest blog entry he compares aspects of concerts to choosing mutual funds. He states that past performance is no guarantee of future returns. He also maintains that orchestras’ analytical strength is in the questions we ask, not in finding good past records. Rosen expands on this idea and discusses League resources that help orchestras look to the future.
