Thursday’s (8/11) Seattle Times reports, “Seattle Symphony music director Ludovic Morlot will join another city institution when he throws out the first pitch at the Aug. 16 Mariners home game against the Toronto Blue Jays. Musicians from the orchestra will come along, playing the American and Canadian national anthems before the 7:10 p.m. start. A portion of all ticket sales benefit the symphony. Morlot opens his inaugural season with the symphony with the opening-night gala Sept. 17. For ‘Seattle Symphony Night at the Mariners’ tickets—note that tickets must be purchased at this site in order for proceeds to benefit the SSO—go to: www.mariners.com/symphony.”
