MICHAEL BUTTERMAN has renewed his contract as music director of the Boulder (Colo.) Philharmonic through the 2013-14 season. He serves additionally as music director of the Shreveport (La.) Symphony orchestra, where his contract was also recently renewed through 2013-14 (see above). Butterman is entering his third season as resident conductor of the Jacksonville (Fla.) Symphony Orchestra, and his twelfth as principal conductor for education and outreach at the Rochester (N.Y.) Philharmonic Orchestra.
