The Florida Orchestra has announced a new yearlong partnership with Tampa’s International Plaza and Bay Street shopping center, with key elements to include performances by orchestra members in the mall, a mall exhibition of oversize photographs of principal musicians, and a gift-with-purchase incentive program for mall shoppers. The partnership launches publicly with performances at three mall locations during the shopping center’s celebration of Fashion’s Night Out on September 8 between 6 and 9 p.m. The exhibition of Bruce Evensen’s photos of principal Florida Orchestra musicians will be on display throughout the entire year in the shopping center’s International Plaza on the lower level. For the first time Florida Orchestra concert tickets will be available at the Ticketmaster location at the shopping center’s concierge desk, and throughout the 2011-12 season shoppers at the mall can receive a pair of free orchestra tickets by shopping using the center’s gift-with-purchase incentive program.
