Artistic: Houston Symphony

SHELDON PERSON has been named to the viola section of the Houston Symphony, and JACEK MUZYK to the French horn section. Person was most recently a member of the Indianapolis Symphony. A native of Edmonton, Alberta, he has appeared as soloist with the  Edmonton Symphony Orchestra and as a guest with the London Symphony Orchestra and the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra. He holds degrees from London’s Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Indiana University, Rice University, and the University of Alberta. Person was also a fellow at Aspen Music Festival and School. Muzyk has played with numerous professional orchestras in Japan, South America, and his native Poland, as well as with the Houston Grand Opera, the Buffalo Philharmonic, the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, and the Chicago, Dallas, and Pittsburgh symphony orchestras in. He holds degrees and certificates from the Academy of Music in Krakow, Mannes College The New School for Music, The Juilliard School, and Rice University.
