The Eugene (Ore.) Symphony Board of Directors has announced that MAYLIAN PAK, its development director since 2006, has been named interim executive director. She will assume her new duties at the end of September upon the departure of PAUL WINBERG, who was recently named executive director of Chicago’s Grant Park Music Festival. Pak joined the Eugene Symphony’s staff in 2005 as donor relations manager and was promoted to development director the following year. A native of Alabama, she has resided in Eugene since 2002 when she began graduate studies at the University of Oregon, where she subsequently earned a master’s degree in geography. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, Va.
