The Boston Baroque period-instrument ensemble has formed a recording partnership with Linn Records, with the ensemble set to record its inaugural effort on the label, Haydn’s The Creation, at its performances from October 17 to 24 in Mechanics Hall in Worcester, Massachusetts, and at Jordan Hall in Boston. Boston Baroque Founder and Music Director Martin Pearlman will lead the performances, with the recording set to be released in late spring 2012. Linn Records is an audiophile label based in Scotland specializing in classical, jazz, and Celtic music; it is a subsidiary of Linn Products, a sound- and vision-engineering company. “I have admired Martin Pearlman and Boston Baroque’s work for many years and am delighted to be able to welcome this fantastic ensemble to the Linn family,” said Linn Records Producer Philip Hobbs. “We have an exciting program of projects planned over the next few years and I am really looking forward to working with them.”
