The New York-based record label Bridge Records has announced that it will hold a free concert and reception on October 20 at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts to celebrate its 30th anniversary. The concert, at the libraryís Bruno Walter Auditorium at 6 p.m., will include two world premieres: Poul Rudersís Romances for Viola and Piano and Paul Lanskyís Notes to Self. Among the featured musicians at the concert with long-time associations with the record label are pianists David Holzman, Mihae Lee, Sarah Rothenberg, and John Musto; violist Hsin-Yun Huang; guitarist David Starobin; and the Daedalus String Quartet. Bridge Records, founded in 1981 by Becky and David Starobin, has a catalog that includes classical music, jazz, world music, and a wide range of new music.
