Houston Symphony CEO and Executive Director Mark C. Hanson has announced the appointment of DAVID CHAMBERS as chief development officer, and the promotion of STEPHANIE JONES to senior director of events and league relations. Chambers, a native of Australia, has nearly 20 years of experience in performing arts fundraising and public relations, most recently as director of institutional giving at Houston Grand Opera, where he has worked since 2003. Jones joined the orchestra in April 2011 as director of events. In her new role she will continue to develop and manage all Houston Symphony fundraising events in partnership with the event chairs, and will work to strengthen partnerships between the Houston Symphony League, the Bay Area League, and the Houston Symphony Society board, staff, and orchestra.
