The Carnegie Hall Royal Conservatory Achievement Program has announced a partnership with the National Guild for Community Arts Education to support and promote the Achievement Program throughout the U.S. Launched in March 2011 by Carnegie Hall and Canada’s Royal Conservatory, the Achievement Program provides a national standard for musical achievement from beginner through advanced levels of music study, modeled on the Royal Conservatory’s system that assesses 100,000 students annually across Canada. “Both organizations recognize the importance of nurturing a love of music locally in order to foster musical literacy nationally,” said Dr. Jennifer Snow, chief academic officer of the Achievement Program. Through the partnership agreement, the Achievement Program also is a lead sponsor of the National Guild’s 2011 Conference for Community Arts Education being held in Boston from November 9 to 12, 2011.  For more information on the Achievement Program, visit http://www.theachievementprogram.org.
