KATE NORDSTRUM has been named producer, special projects, at The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra. In this capacity she will spearhead the creation of new projects at the SPCO Center and with other partner institutions, made possible through a recent planning grant from the New York-based Augustine Foundation. Nordstrum is a Minneapolis-based music curator and arts management consultant whose current projects include co-presentations and partnerships with the Walker Art Center, Cedar Cultural Center, Northrop Concert & Lectures, The Schubert Club, and New Amsterdam Records. Previous arts experience includes positions with Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, New York City Center, and the Southern Theater in Minneapolis. Since 2008 she has served on the Minneapolis Arts Commission, to which she was appointed by the Minneapolis City Council.
