DEBBIE CHINN has been named executive director of the Carmel Bach Festival in Carmel, California. Most recently a management consultant to the Philadelphia Orchestra, she will take up her new duties in Carmel by the end of the first quarter of 2012. During the past two decades Chinn has held executive and managerial positions with the Baltimore theater company Centerstage, the California Shakespeare Theater, the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, the San Francisco Symphony, the American Conservatory Theater, the University of San Francisco, and the Center Theatre Group of the Music Center of Los Angeles. Her board affiliations have included Theatre Communications Group, the Greater Baltimore Cultural Alliance, the Association of California Symphony Orchestras, the Bay Area Leadership Foundation, East West Players, and California Arts Advocates.
