The Philadelphia 76ers basketball team has announced that the Philadelphia Orchestra will be heard at home games at the Wells Fargo Center this season. At each home game, vocalist Ayla Brown, a finalist in the fifth season of American Idol, will sing the “Star-Spangled Banner” live to a video of the Philadelphia Orchestra, led by Music Director Designate Yannick Nézet-Séguin. The announcement of Brown as the 76ers’ new anthem singer and of the basketball franchise’s new partnership with the Philadelphia Orchestra was made by 76ers Chief Executive Officer and co-Owner Adam Aron as one of several improvements being made by the organization this season.
