ZACH FRENCH has been named director of artistic planning, and ANDREW KOCH artistic coordinator, at the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. French was previously manager of artistic planning and artistic coordinator at the ISO, a post he assumed in 2004. He had earlier served as production coordinator with the Louisville Orchestra. French holds a bachelor’s degree in music from Lawrence University (Appleton, Wis.) and a master’s in historical musicology from the University of Connecticut. Koch earned a bachelor’s degree in oboe performance from The Juilliard School in 2010 and a master’s in arts administration from Indiana University in 2011. He has held internships with the Bravo! Vail Valley and Colorado music festivals, and recently completed the League of American Orchestras’ ten-day Essentials of Orchestra Management course.
